Given that youths are and will remain a significant share of Kenya’s population, and the perception that youths grow with that after education they will get jobs;specifically white collar jobs which later disappoint them because there are very few job opportunities only for the selected few who manage to get them if they are ‘fit’. This discourages youths because they believe that getting employed is the only means to acquire a decent living.

As a result, Jijenge Economic Vine we take it on our shoulders to ensure that youths do not lose the desire of realizing their dreams through encouraging them to join self-help groups which will help them acquire capital to start self-employment;which is always difficult for them to acquire from various financial institutions, increase their competence and create a self-reliant modern generation which in turn help to curb poverty.

Making the youth understand the saying “when the student is ready the master will come” refer to one person. Education thereafter job as well means that the youth learn to be an employer, not an employee. But how is this possible with the scarce resources and the unwilling lender.

This youth has little money looking closely that’s why avoiding stress they are smoking. Simple mathematics they spend at least ksh.20 to things that make their situation even worse. This ksh.20 is the tool that get table banking started. It’s 600 a month. That self-help group of 15 members is 9000. Borrowed immediately, the month that follows it won’t be 9000 anymore. There will be loan repayment and interest. This realizes the dream of another. And within 5years it will proof from school is to the employer. Searching from within, saving youths from the humiliation of searching from others who are not willing to aid them.
